The Old Town North Community Partnership will meet on Thursday, September 18 at 7:30 pm at 300 Montgomery Street, 2nd floor (office of MRE). This meeting, as all others, is open to anyone who lives or works in our neighborhood.

St. Anthony’s Day School, located on First Street adjacent to Montgomery Park, is planning an addition to their facility. Ms. Janet Cochran will attend the OTNCP meeting to discuss the plans with us. The project is being reviewed by City of Alexandria Planning staff and is scheduled for review by the Planning Commission and City Council later this fall.

OTNCP and the City’s Department of Recreation and Parks have developed a survey for users of Montgomery Park’s dog run. This is in preparation for the final phase of Montgomery Park improvements, reconfiguration of the dog run. The dog run is currently planned to change in shape, design, and amenities, though not in overall square footage. We would like the input of users and neighbors in the design of the new dog park. At OTNCP’s September 18 meeting, we will finalize the survey form and determine how best to get it out to the neighborhood. Since we cannot mail it to each household, we will most likely drop copies at gathering places throughout the neighborhood and ask you to drop it off or mail it back. More details will be provided in the next e-news.
